Rafaela's - Tasty South American cuisine

Rafaela's is one of the newest restaurants on Bethlehem's South Side. It's on E. 4st St ... about four blocks east of Lehigh University.

I went for lunch about a month ago (sorry for the delay in reporting!) and was treated to a wonderful buffet. At the suggestion of Rob, who never steers me wrong, I started with a mango shake, which was smooth and just sweet enough. The buffet featured a wide selection of foods -- a slow-roasted beef dish, chicken, rice and beans, some fried appetizers and fresh salad. I tried everything; if I had more room, I would have tried them all again. Solid food and excellent, friendly service from the staff. The dinner menu looks more extensive, with about two dozen entrees including paella, seafood dishes, beef entrees and more. I'll be heading back for dinner.
