Faithful readers and eaters,
I know I've been delinquent in posting reviews. (One commenter even assumed I was no longer blogging. Ouch.) Rest assured: I'm still out adventuring and trying new places. In the coming days, I will be recounting my experiences at the following establishments:
- Casa Latina, Allentown
- The Other Fish, Bethlehem (Round 2)
- Caribe Del Sol, Bethlehem
- Musashi, Allentown
Thanks for your patience!

What about Rios on Broad Street in Nazareth? I'd like to see a review there as well. I went once and found it a bit salty for my tastes. I'm hoping they've changed... But I have talked to some people who were very pleased.
Elyssia,
I knew I forgot one. I went to Rios three weeks ago. It was a true meat-splosion. I will post a review shortly. Thanks for your patience.
It's great to see you'll be writing again soon. I'm reluctant to try some of the little out-of-the-way restaurants and it helps to have a gastronomic pioneer in the Valley!
Hi Michael...it was great meeting with you - was it last month...I ate breakfast at casa latina this morning and was happy to say i got a table and had some yummy cafe con leche...I never realized that they opened at 8 am and served breakfast!
hope you are well and glad to see you blogging again!
You may also want to check out Mangia on Greenwood in Easton and Asia on Susquehanna in Allentown. I've heard both serve authentic (Italian and Chinese respectively) food. Both are BYOB.
come on michael quit forgetting about Balasia - it's the most innovative restaurant in the Valley and deserves some attention!
When are you coming back? Where will we dine without guidance? ;)
When are you coming back? Where will we figure out how to dine..? ;)
Hi Michael,
There's a new Thai restaurant in Easton on Northampton St (called Phenom). It was very good and toddler friendly; we ate in the courtyard and enjoyed our evening thoroughly.
There's also a new Portugese restaurant in Easton on the Circle (diagonally across from the Crayola factory). We haven't eaten there but it looks great.
The Bistro on Main opened up on Main St. in Nazareth (soups, salads, sanwhiches, wraps, breakfast), haven't gotten to that one either but it looks good.
Mara's Cafe in Nazareth (Rte 248 at the south end of Main St. is now serving breakfast on the weekends until 11 am (crepes, stuffed french toast, waffles, omelets) and is just delightful - just make sure you get there before 11. The berry crepes are lovely, but I'd ask for the melba sauce on the side - it's a bit sweet otherwise.
Looking forward to more reviews soon!
C'mon, nobody is that busy...POST!!!
