For the "Rodizio" specialty (All-you-can-eat bbq, buffet, and salad bar) the price is $16.95 for lunch and $23.95 for dinner during the week. On Saturdays and Sundays, the price is $25.95.

The restaurant also offers a-la-carte: Lunch Specials during the week go from $7 to $13; Dinner prices go from $14 to $21.

Any word on the bargain Thai place that was supposed to move in on 4th in Bethlehem. It was in a story that included the new Mexican place that went in where the Southampton Fish and Chips was, but I can't find it and have not heard anything. Was really looking forward to cheap Thai food in Bethlehem.

I am willing to give this restaurant another try just by virtue of them moving to such a great A-Town location.

I have to recommend you check out Winston's on 7th Street. This is a great West Indian restaurant that knows what it does well and really sticks with it. Chicken and oxtail stewed until it falls off the bone with eye opening Jamaican seasonings and a real family run, mom and pop atmosphere. The best part of any dish are the veggies! Stewed cabbage with carrots and peas along with some roasted sweet plaintains.

If anyone has had the Mofongo at Casa Latina, please let me know how it was. I am planning on going there the next time I have the chance. The problem is I have to pass Winston's to get there and I never seem to make it.

Thanks for the upadte, João. I edited the post to reflect 200 -- that's ambitious, but will help create the type of restaurant vibe that's needed in the city. I look forward to visiting Made in Brazil when you open. I'm pleased to see people making a commitment to our downtowns.

Hi, Michael.
Your questions might be of general interest, so I will answer them here.
1. We will have over 20 different choices in our salad bar and buffet, focusing on salads and veggies (and asparagus are on the top of our list!);
2. We will have a wide selection of wines in our list. Mostly reds, but also many different whites, since we will have an actual menu besides our barbecue-specialty. The staff will be trained to offer suggestions of pairing for every dish on the menu and for every different taste. We will have wines from all over the world, concentrating on South America, Spain, Portugal, and Italy, but not forgetting France, South Africa and, of course, the United States.
3. As far as decor, the restaurant is all ready! Very colorful and vivid, the dining room is extremely related to the Brazilian Culture.

If it's the same people who are running Rios, I'd like to make the following suggestions:
1. Nicer and larger salad bar with fresh selections of a variety of veggies. Some of the best blanched asparagus I've had has been at a churascarria.
2. More extensive wine list. Let's face it: red wine and red meat are meant to be together. Let's have some more options at different price levels to complement the meat.
3. Decor. Do something distinctive. Create a special place. Something to match the originality of the food.

Robin's comment about the saltiness of the meat depends on the cut. Some are more seasoned than others. I thought the meat at Rios had balanced seasoning and was prepared well. I hope they bring that same quality to Allentown. I wish them the best. With the new restaurant in the Butz building and the always-dependable Bay Leaf down the street, Allentown is getting some welcome density at 9th/Hamilton.
